Box Office Assistant
Department: Box Office
Reports to: Box Office Manager
Position Classification: Hourly
Position Summary: Process ticket orders at the Box Office window, by phone, and over the Internet. Help with ongoing Box Office tasks.
Responsibilities: Interacting politely and knowledgeably with customers; learning and mastering the computer software used for selling tickets in person, by mail, and by phone; accurately entering information into and maintaining the ticketing program; processing cash, check, and credit card payments responsibly; settling and reconciling Box Office sales at the close of each day; using the ticketing software to generate various reports; using other computer programs (e.g., Word Excel) as needed to generate letters and reports; faxing letters and reports; checking and returning voice mail messages; keeping the Box Office clean; stuffing envelopes; performing various clerical tasks; assisting the marketing director with promotional mailings from time to time; and other duties as assigned. All Box Office assistants need to have a flexible schedule and are required to work show days and door sales on a rotating basis.
Qualifications: Strong customer service skills, excellent computer capabilities, ability to multi-task, and a high degree of professionalism required. Must be available to work on weekends.
